26 kwietnia 2012 r. w Nowym Jorku już po raz ósmy zostały przyznane prestiżowe nagrody branży ETF w plebiscycie ogranizowanym przez portal Exchangetradedfunds.com. Portal ten zorganizował pierwszy plebiscyt pod nazwą „Global ETF Awards” w 2005 r. chcąc w ten sposób wyłonić podmioty przyczyniające się w największym stopniu do rozwoju tego segmentu rynku finansowego. Nagrody są przyznawane na podstawie głosów oddawanych przez profesjonalistów funkcjonujących w branży funduszy ETF na całym świecie oraz na podstawie danych statystycznych (dotyczących np. wartości aktywów ETF-ów, ich płynności, czy też wysokości wskaźnika TER). W bieżącym roku w głosowaniu uczestniczyło ponad 520 organizacji z Europy, Ameryki, regionu Azji i Pacyfiku, Bliskiego Wschodu i Afryki. Zwycięzców „8th Annual Global ETF Awards” w poszczególnych kategoriach i poszczególnych regionach (według oddanych głosów) oraz podmioty które zajęły w głosowaniu drugie i trzecie miejsca prezentuje poniższe zestawienie.
